The sailboat Alexa Thomas sails and races out of Stamford, Connecticut.
She is an Irwin Citation 30 foot sailboat built in Saint Petersburg, Florida. Her previous owner is family to Ted Irwin who designed and built the boat. She was launched in May over 40 years ago. Her diesel engine was replaced with an electric inboard motor. The restoration of interior, exterior, mechanical and electrical took over two years.
